This course deepens your abilities in programming, animation, game design, storytelling and technical art, helping you create a professional portfolio that stands out in a competitive sector.
You'll learn about:
- 3D Animation & Modelling – create high-quality characters, props and environments
- Object-Oriented Programming with C# – develop gameplay systems using industry-standard languages
- Games Customisation & Scripting – adapt and extend game engines like Unity or Unreal
- Applied Mathematics – understand the maths behind physics, movement and interaction
- Game Design Theory – explore mechanics, player experience and level design
- Character Creation & Storytelling – build narratives, worlds and compelling player journeys
- Digital Media: Audio & Video – produce sound, music and video assets for games
- Showreel & Portfolio Development – assemble a professional portfolio ready for employers or university
What qualifications do I need?
You must have successfully completed the HNC Computer Games Development with 15 credits.
What can I do after?
After successfully completing this course, you'll be equipped for entry-level roles across the games, digital media and software industries, including gameplay programmer, technical artist, environment artist, level designer or systems analyst.
You’ll also have the opportunity to progress directly into second or third year of a degree, including:
