WEST College Scotland HND Graphic Design students have been impressing with their work for external live clients Cohesion Medical Ltd, applying the skills they’re learning in class to real-world business needs.

No less than twenty-five HNC Interior Architecture students from our Clydebank and Paisley Campuses took part and wowed a Judging panel with their creative designs to revamp the College’s Paisley Dining Room, which now thanks to the winning concepts will be refurbished in April. Laleh Eskandari, 25 and Gemma McNally, 25 were praised for their contemporary, on trend and inspiring interiors.

Mature student Derek Millar has proven that community learning was his ticket to success; allowing him to secure part time employment in less than 4 months from him starting his studies at West College Scotland’s Ferguslie Learning Centre.

It was a stressful but rewarding day for our Paisley NC Interior Design students. After 8 weeks of hard work on a live brief, they were presenting their individual projects to their client: Morse Code Management – a prestigious creative, music management & entertainment company.

Over the last two years, ESP has supported 120 young plumbers working toward the Environmental Technologies Award. Active player in the Partnership, WCS is delivering 19 of these 120 training opportunities.

2015 saw West College Scotland welcome a host of international visitors to our campuses. The year was rounded off with teachers from China’s Liaoning Province experiencing what West College Scotland has to offer.

Stewart McCready, from Gourock, is a former student of West College Scotland’s Greenock Campus. He now studies at Abertay University in Dundee, where he recently won prizes for best Computer Games Technology student, and best 1st year student overall.
