A group of Motor Vehicle students swapped the sunny shores of Cyprus this week for our very own Clydebank campus! 17 Level 1 students and 2 lecturers were welcomed from Limassol, Cyprus as part of an exchange programme between their Technical School and the College.

The Green Room was setup to help support our college community during challenging times and the cost-of-living crisis. Located at each of our campuses the rooms house donated items including dried and tinned foods, clothing both new and freshly laundered, pre-loved items and general goods.

West College Scotland Clydebank campus Intermediate ESOL students have been busy this month organising a range of fundraising events.

As part of the ‘Big College Open Week’ we’re delighted to be holding an Open Evening on Tuesday 28th March from 5-7pm.

Huge congratulations to West College Scotland student Harley Higgins for winning the prestigious ‘Foundation Apprentice of the Year’ award at last night’s Scottish Apprenticeship Awards held by Skills Development Scotland.

Last week saw the Paisley campus Business students take part in a ‘Strategy Workshop’ at St Mirren Football Club, as part of the course which focuses on strategic planning.

West College Scotland is excited to be named as a Supporter of the STEM Nation Award  programme. The STEM Nation Award programme celebrates, promotes and builds effective practice in STEM education within and across sectors.

Engineering Systems Foundation Apprentice, Harley Higgins has made the final three in the Foundation Apprentice of the Year category at this years Scottish Apprenticeship Awards.

A pioneering Foundation Apprentice cohort has kicked off at our Paisley campus, for the first time incorporating not only pupils from across 3 local authorities in one group but with an equal gender split between male and female pupils.

The College was delighted to host a pioneering event this month in partnership with SmartSTEMs.
